Some of the accomplishments of the BNA in this past year include:
1. The Belknap Fall Festival as a part of Week in the Highlands which brought over ten thousand visitors to our neighborhood each year. It is a tremendous family fun event held the second weekend in October.
2. The publication of our Spring 2008 and Fall 2008 newsletter.
3. Frequent updates and communications network building through our websites. This website and our free one at: www.neighborhoodlink.com/louisville/belknap
4. Postcards sent to all new members of our neighborhood and to each new resident of the neighborhood
5. Development of a business directory to help new residents in our neighborhood.
6. Belknap Neighborhood Association eco bags are available for sale.
7. Welcome bags completed and delivery continues to both new neighbors and new members of BNA
8. General discussions of Neighborhood Assessments, block representation, updating of our Neighborhood Plan, procedural issues.
9. Connections through various board members to the larger community strengthening the resident voices of our neighborhood.
10. Participants in the Highland Connection and the Highland Commerce Guild to discuss issues involving our neighborhoods and community.
11.Successful completion of BNA/UNEP event in Warheim Park to give-away free trees to people promising to nurture them to maturity.
12. Articles of Incorporation under revision.
13. The Logo Committee has reclaimed our logo
14. Strengthened commitment and communications with Warheim Park Board.
